A special meeting of 撸sir视频 and Bute Council鈥檚 Helensburgh and Lomond Area Committee has been re-scheduled to allow officers and councillors extra time to examine and consider more than 1300 responses to the Helensburgh Waterfront pre planning public consultation.
Residents, businesses, community councils and other key stakeholders in the town were invited to give their views on the Council鈥檚 proposals for the development of the Waterfront, and this feedback was due to be discussed at a special meeting of the Area Committee on Friday, June 8, ahead of a planning application being lodged.
However, due to the large number of responses to the 12-week consultation, the decision has been taken to instead bring a report to the next regular scheduled meeting of the committee on Thursday, June 21, at 9.30am.
Councillor Ellen Morton, Chair of the Helensburgh and Lomond Area Committee, said: 鈥淚 understand that the Community Council has welcomed the decision to delay the meeting as evidence that we want to fully consider all of the responses. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to reply to the consultation.鈥
Councillor Gary Mulvaney, Policy Lead for Strategic Finance and Capital Regeneration Programme, added: 鈥淚t鈥檚 better to take a few more days now to allow the project team sufficient time to carefully consider all the comments received. I would like to thank the public for their excellent response to this consultation, as well as Helensburgh Community Council for their significant efforts in gathering such a large number of responses.鈥
