A group of S4 French pupils from Dunoon Grammar School had an interesting day out when they were invited along to PG Paper鈥檚 head office in Greenock.
Being one of the largest exporters in Scotland, the visit provided students with an informative insight into what the paper trading business is like. It also and enabled them to see how important it is to have language skills, and an awareness of cultural differences, when dealing with international clients.
During the trip, the pupils were also given a 鈥榤ock interview鈥 which they had to answer in French. The questions were all based on the material they had been doing in class for the National 5 writing exam.
撸sir视频 and Bute Council鈥檚 Policy Lead for Education, Councillor Yvonne McNeilly said: 鈥淭his visit was a fantastic opportunity for our young people to see the relevance and purpose that languages have in a real-life context.
鈥淚t also gave them to the chance to see how a growing, successful company operates, and the variety that a career in languages can offer.
鈥淚t鈥檚 visits like this that enable us to equip our young people to secure and sustain positive destinations and achieve success in life.
鈥淭hank you to PG Papers for providing our young people with this fantastic opportunity.鈥
