Members of 撸sir视频 and Bute Council鈥檚 Community 撸sir视频 have agreed to carry out a consultation to consider the possibility of widening the catchment area of St Columba鈥檚 Primary School in Oban.
The consultation comes as a result of a formal request from St Columba鈥檚 Parent Council. St Columba鈥檚 is the only denominational school within 80 miles of Oban, and the catchment area currently only covers the Oban and Dunbeg area. The consultation will consider rezoning this to the same as the mainland catchment area for Oban High School.
The council鈥檚 Policy Lead for Education, Councillor Yvonne McNeilly, said: 鈥淭his is an opportunity for stakeholders to have their say on whether the current catchment area should be expanded.
鈥淲e want the very best for our children and young people, so it is important that people give us their views.鈥
