撸sir视频 and Bute awards recognise youth achievements

The achievements of 撸sir视频 and Bute鈥檚 young people were recognised at a prestigious award ceremony in Dunoon last week.

A total of 34 finalists attended the 2020 撸sir视频 and Bute Youth Awards in the Queens Hall for what was a very humbling and emotional evening.

The winners were as follows:

  • Duke of Edinburgh Outstanding Achievement Award: Oban High School鈥檚 Support Department
  • Unsung Hero Award sponsored by McLay Glass: Josh Blair, Lochgilphead
  • Youth Environment Award sponsored by ACT: Hermitage Academy Eco Schools Group, Helensburgh
  • Youth Sporting Award sponsored by Live 撸sir视频: Mollie Aiken, Bute
  • Youth Entrepreneur Award sponsored by SAMTEQ: Shanice Honeyman, Lochgilphead
  • Youth Volunteering Award sponsored by John Brown of Strone: SOAP, Dunoon
  • Youth Arts Award sponsored by Anne Paterson: Campbeltown Brass Band
  • Health and Wellbeing Award sponsored by NHS Health and Wellbeing: Freya Kennedy-Boyle, Bute
  • Youth Citizenship Award sponsored by Gateway: Rosie Sumsion, Helensburgh
  • Special Contribution Awards: Hannah Nicolson and Stephanie Thomas

撸sir视频 and Bute Council鈥檚 Depute Policy Lead for Education, Councillor Keiron Green, attended the event. Talking afterwards, he said: 鈥淥ur children and young people are a true credit to 撸sir视频 and Bute and I felt very humbled to attend the awards.
